Twice I have experience it from guys who have no children. Just the guy and his wife, going to Disney year after year.

You don't have a clue and that's fine. One less Scrooge there will make the place even better. I have no children but my GF and I can have an amazing time there. Try the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. We go every year for this. I have met, and learned from, world class chefs, sommeliers, and mixologists. We have eaten some amazing food and even better adult beverages. ALL of this was geared towards adults. Not kids. Eat once at Victoria And Albert's, then tell me that you don't "get it". Alas, to each his own.

I've never seen a single place get so much hate in my life.

I hate the beach. It does nothing for me. However, I don't ever feel the need to go apeshit and bash the beach and everyone that visits one constantly.

I'm almost positive that this is a very well executed drive by troll job by the OP. Way too much information than a general hater. Too much info that shows quite a level of research and time Investment. Well done OP. Well done.

You're right, just keep letting your kids sit in front the tv. I'm sure they are having a great childhood.

Ever stop to think that parents don't typically go for their enjoyment?

Ridiculous assumption that kids who don't go to Disney spend more time in front of TV? We made 1 obligatory trip to Disney when my son was 5, never went back.Did guest ranches in Colorado, hiked in Yellowstone, cycled in the San Juans. Opposite of TV slugs.

I think you're right. Although I tend to agree with the OP in theory (I don't have kids, so Disney World sounds like a nightmare to me, personally), I don't see why anyone would get so worked up over what other people do for their vacations.

It's all about how you look at things. I have been going since I was a child so I get the nostalgia of reliving many great childhood trips. My father passed 6 years ago and he loved taking us there. When I'm in the parks, I feel just a bit closer to him so it has a deeply personal effect as well. As far as being an adult without kids, there are so many great adult things to do there.(see my previous post on the Food and Wine fest). As with anything, you get out what you put in and I do agree that it may not be for everyone.

It's good for making kids happy but I'm past that age. And I agree with you; I'd pay the admission fee to AVOID going in there. Just horrible. And yes, I loved it as a kid.

but hey, there's a pretty good olive garden clone in the Italian pavilion. food isn't quite as good, and it's 40% more expensive, but good enough, right?

Are you really this facking stupid? really?

You think Via Napoli, Tutto Gusto and Tutto Italia is like olive garden?

SO, olive garden has italian cooks and chefs and servers from italy? With all the same offerings in breadth and depth of quality? Olive garden can make a quattro formaggi pizza pie like them? Olive garden has the choice of cheeses, breads and cured meats along with expansive choices of italian wines that tutto gusto has? really? You think that is equal to the cheap run of the mill shite at olive garden?
:rotflmao:

Wanna know how i know you sound like a redneck moron as far as italian food is concerned?

LOL you poor.

I'm not poor and I hated Disney as well. I like to see things that are real. Animal Kingdom was a joke. If I want to see animals, I'll go on a safari.

We took our kids once, then gave them the option of going back, or going to see "real" places around the world. Guess what they chose??? They'd rather see ruins in Tulum or snorkel the reef in Roatan than see Bert & Ernie and Barney.

Long lines and theme parks just aren't our thing.

Yes.

Took the kids to Orlando. Took them to Disney, took them to Universal, left time to do an extra day at one of the parks. The kids begged us to make another run through Universal. No interest in returning to Disney.
