Just bought an I-Comfort and am very happy with it. Seems to be a hybrid of conventional and memory foam types
Not out of the way, but Couvant is a great option if you’re looking for great food with a quieter atmosphere. Go early and have drinks in the lobby bar.
Probably only used about 2/3 cup coffee and about an equal amount of salsa. No bitter taste detected

Coffee as a braising liquid

Have been reading about this and tried it last night with great results. Had a chuck roast I wanted to use for tacos. Seasoned with chipotle mix, hard seared in heavy pan. Deglazed pan with coffee, added onions, garlic and about 1/2 cup of salsa. 3 hrs in low oven, then shredded for tacos. Texture and flavor were on point.

Slight hijack- how about Cuban food?
Isn’t there Cuban place in Kenner that’s supposed to be legit?

Agree with Fishers. Had a great meal upstairs last weekend and have enjoyed downstairs/dockside in the past.

Have been wanting to try Anson Mills. Kind of pricey but I need to just do it.

Usually buy Carolina Plantation or Palmetto Farms. Any other great brands out there?

Ellerbe’s on Magnolia is very good, Waters downtown has decent seafood( not NOLA but credible). Salsa Limon, Velvet Tacos, Taco Diner. Istanbul Grill and Bird Cafe are good to very good, depending on what you like. Joe T’s is average at best but drinking g margaritas on that patio is a fine way to waste an afternoon. Rodeo Goat, Bearded Lady and Fred’s for burgers. Lived in FW for many yrs and really enjoyed it there, hope you do also

Heading to Kennah for Harbor Seafood
Hot weather means gin or vodka. Hendricks has been my go-to for a while, but was just introduced to Monkey 47 ( by a bartender at Paladar)and it’s superb. Vodka is usually Tito’s .
