What are somethings you learned too late and wish you knew sooner?

I would rent more rec equipment, travel trailer, boat type stuff. I gave money for something that I hardly ever use and has low resale potential.

From just last weekend:

That you can replace a chainsaw chain and put it on backwards.

Didn't screw up the chainsaw, but ruined the brand-new chain. Had to buy another.
