It's actually a pruning pole chainsaw, and I was trying to cut about a 2-3 inch branch. Kept wondering why it wasn't cutting, and kicking back on me, then the chain jumped off the bar. After that happened and I was putting it back on, was when I noticed and thought about the fact that there were two directions for the chain to be put on. So I put it on the correct way. But the chain was bent or crimped from the jump and didn't want to travel around the bar, so I bought a new one for $7 or so, which proceeded to work like a hot knife through butter.
