Yet April was DOMINATED with the “icus are overwhelmed” headlines. Everywhere.

If hospitals in April came close to being overwhelmed, where are those stories right now?

Were we lied to in April?

Check out the blue graph

Maybe those who put everything off then are there now?? IDK. I'm so sick of every bit of this.

Because they were in NYC, the media capital of the world. Everything outside of NYC doesn't matter near as much to the MSM.

People have learned that Covid isn’t very dangerous to people under 60. Less panic and running to the ER.

The old people have already got it, and died or recovered.

Hospitals are like hotels. They make money when their beds are occupied (so to speak). And the opposite is true - empty beds are expensive.

You want to maximize the number of patients at all times.

I think New York (and surrounding areas) and Italy were the only hospitals in danger of being overwhelmed in April. I think your premise is flawed.

Even now, while hospitalizations are way up, I think only a few communities actually have hospitals that are soon to be overwhelmed.

It’s just more widespread than it was in April.

The stories are out there. El Paso TX for example...it looks like their hospital situation with covid is uncontrollable at the moment.

It’s not about beds. Hospitals can make more icu beds, it’s when then intake is so high and the amount of staff that catches the virus is high then you don’t have enough staff to treat patients. My sister is an icu nurse (she already caught it) and said that they can make room but they just don’t have enough staff to treat all the patients that require care.

Tends to happen when you flood your hospitals with people from other countries.

Likely initial COVID victims that didn't have COVID, have gone back to the hospital and are admitted for COVID.

Don't bring any logical reasoning in here.
