Someone's NOLA Waitr order was late being delivered

Waitr driver goes to pickup an order at the Zea's on Metairie Rd at I-10. He parks in the take out pick up parking area, goes into the side door for take out, gets the order, walks back to his car to see it being driven across the parking lot, it exits onto the service road, speeds to the I-10 on ramp and its gone.
Don't leave your car running and leave it, especially in NOLA.

First time I saw it happen was when a guy left it parked but running at the curb to check movie times. He’d also left a joint burning in the ashtray.
The only movie he got to see that night was Lock Up.

Read a hotel review last week where the writer was shocked the valet told them not to leave their car running with the keys in it in the street in front of the hotel. They shredded the place for not being safe to park at.

Why anyone would leave their keys in the car near NOLA I don’t know. The animals drive around waiting for the opportunity to take some dumbass’s car. But I suppose it’s better for everyone else that they can pick one off every now and then without force.

You ever drive thru black parts of town? Dead cars everywhere. So poorly maintained, they are not sure it will crank up. That, and they want us to enjoy their dope beats while we pump gas.

Excuse my ignorance, but are most of these cars that are left running and being stolen key in the ignition type? Even in the event I leave mine running the key is in my pocket so they won't get far, and I lock my damn doors when I get out of it (with it running).

I know a person who lived on Esplanade Ave.....had 8, that's right EIGHT, vehicles stolen in front of the house.....several in broad daylight, while they watched!
