Yeah nobody left that as the finished product, they walked off the job in the middle of it.
Who knows what really happened:
-Hot load or sat too long in the truck.
-2 men showed up when it should have be 4-6 and it got away from them.
-Disagreement between subs and GC.
Who knows.
Total tear out though and good luck getting that concrete splatter off the brick.

News stations love shite like this and often have a dedicated anchor who “exposes” dumbasses like that and helps get your money back.

Trucks dont show up that early. They show up when you order them there. I already posted what happened per the owner
One thing I forgot that the homeowner added was that even the Mexican crew doing the work tried to tell the "contractor" not to pour concrete that had been in the truck for 4 hours.

While I don't want a bunch of illegals here, I will say for the most part they do decent work most of the time.
The likelihood of them calling that job "good" is pretty much nil.

After reading the contractor’s texts, I honestly have more faith in the Mexican crew’s grasp of the English language, as opposed to the contractor.
I bet the crew was from Guatemala, Honduras, or another Central American country. The Mexico talk probably pissed them off even more.

I've been in a few older garages that appeared to have homeowner finished concrete and while rough, decidedly non slip, they looked better than that shitshow.

I can’t read the estimate, but if he put labor on it and did indeed sub it out, it’s his baby as GC, regardless of how the labor was paid. He’s wrong. It is his responsibility and a judge will show him his responsibility. It’s a good thing he’s got all that work because he’s going to need it to pay for that shite work his sub did.
