You can lump in the Adults who actually believe they are performing magic in Harry Potters world at Universal. Very disturbing.

Nostalgic fun. Some people like to feel like a kid and they enjoy it enough to dedicate some time and money to it. I had fun as an adult when I took my kids.

Must be summertime. That means autumn is around the corner and we can discuss men who wear jerseys.

I work with one of these people. I find myself having a hard time giving her crap about it. One of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Her husband seems like a good person. Her two kids were valedictorians of their high schools. Both seem well adjusted.

She’s nutty over Disney. Her and her husband go all of the time. They will drive from BR to Orlando for a weekend just to get a couple of park days. She claims when she retires and her children give her grandkids, she’s moving there and going to the parks every day.

My fall weekends revolve around being emotionally invested in what 19-23 year old blacks do on a football field. Glass houses.

It’s pure escapism and it immerses you in a reality that is easy to lose yourself in. It is juvenile sure but loads of things are. This coming from a guy from a Disney family that married into one.

We go about once every 2 years, generally during Food and Wine fest, and have a great time. I like the food and drinks mostly(get to try lots of different food and beer), my wife loves the nostalgia of it and my daughter loves the rides and characters. We try different restaurants every time, stay at different resorts, do things like the monorail crawl when we can, catch a Saints and/or LSU game in Disney Springs, go to Universal for Halloween Horror Nights, etc… Staying on grounds always allows for a designated driver, with differing means of transportation each time(bus, skyliner, monorail or resort boats). We’ve done a fishing guide on the lake by Magic Kingdom and caught lots of bass with a few over 5lbs, played a beautiful golf course named Osprey Ridge(Four Seasons now). The nighttime firework shows are fun. Because we go often enough, we never feel the need to cram everything in on a trip. We always feel completely safe with almost non existent crime. We go at a time where the dining plan is generally free, the parks are decorated for Fall or Halloween, the festival is in full swing and the crowds are way less than during the Summer and the holidays. Basically, we enjoy it thoroughly and have a great time every time we go.

I’ll never understand the people who go multiple times a year. If you can afford that many Disney trips imagine how many cool new destinations you could visit instead.

Again? Can't you read one of the other 15 threads about this that have been started in the past few months?

My dream for the OT is that a woman with full sleeve and leg Disney themed tattoos gets her pic taken in front of the castle and it goes viral. This joint would self destruct.

It's clean, extremely well-maintained and provides lots of stimulation.

Personally, I just think it's far too crowded. Plus, the Florida sun beats you up pretty good.

More than that, they aren’t further crowding out places I like to go, so I don’t get why I’d get pissy about them doing this instead. Let em have it! And leave them be.
