Lock your door with the security lock.

Did you contact the front desk? What did they say?

Victim of what? Leaving your door unlocked so people came in?

I mean I dealt with the night shift last night, they couldn't do anything. I wasn't going to get up and leave.

Did not lock latch. Sounds like you are a novice.

I traveled like that for 3 years, you will learn. It is easy to break into.

There were also a couple times I was on the other in and the hotel put me into an occupied room. Very uncomfortable.

This has happened to me before when I was traveling for work, as well. Luckily, I had a suite with a bedroom door separating the living room and kitchen area (it was an extended stay place).

I woke up when I heard the door open, and reached for my pistol. I heard voices saying someone was in this room and heard the door shut. I called down to the front desk and they had double booked the room.

Got a couple of free nights out of it, but, I don’t see myself vacationing in Irmo, SC.

Same thing happened to me when my wife was on top one time. It was around 5:00 and we were drunk after a daytime wedding. Some poor middle aged lady walked in and said " Oh My God". My wife has never moved so fast and I just laid there laughing.

It was the fault of the hotel for giving my key out.

Good place to stay when in town for a college sporting event though.

Was this a shitty motel with an actual key and not a card?

I stay IHG(Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, etc) because they have the most options and I like their rewards. This wasn't one of their better properties, but it's a $120 per night hotel.

wont do that again will you?

Oh and if traveling by auto, this is a good reason to be armed. OTOH, if you are traveling by air, you have my sympathy.

I don't travel that often, but this story right here is why I always sleep in my car.
