Someone entered my hotel room at 245 this AM

I travel around 225 nights per year for work, so I'm accustomed to hotel living. This morning, my door opens and in walks this couple that doesn't speak a word of English. It scared the shite out of me. I'm yelling for them to get out and they're yelling back something. To make matters better, I call the front desk, and they say they didn't double book the room and that the key is likely stolen so they're rushing security up. They call me 15 min later apologizing. I'm usually pretty easy going but that was unsettling. Someone could have gotten hurt.

You didn’t lock your security latch?

You don't have the door guard latch thing on when you're in your hotel room for the night?

What language were they speaking?

Literally zero reason not to use the latch on the door. Would have solved that issue

Do you leave your door unlocked every night? You seem not bright.

Funny story though. I was in my hotel room late one afternoon after I got back from work. I was taking a shite and the maid walked in about to service the room. The bathroom door was open b/c I figured I'd be alone in the room.
That was awkward.

I swear this is only the 2nd or 3rd time I've forgotten this year.

I bet they checked in and the hotel clerk made a mistake.
It’s happened to me twice, both times in respected hotel chains. Once I walked in on a guy getting dressed, and another time someone walked in on me. Luckily it was during the day and not in the middle of the night.

They make these things called locks on the doors.

It was probably one of the maids or janitors if they were speaking Spanish. They have a master key and can use the room when they are not working. They were looking for a room to bang in.

Yeah I walked into a couple sleeping on the Friday before Mardi Gras this year. Front desk gave us the room before they had checked out.

Might have been the kind of threesome you don't brag about on the OT...
