That's easy. Take the money and run to a new sector.

Where do I sign up for this deal?

I'll pay off my debt and start teaching high school honors classes or something.

Take it. Take 6-12 months, take stock, and find new field.

wait, you give me $1.5 million AND i don't have to work anymore? shite, where do i sign...

if you invest that $1.5 wisely, you could make that a pretty significant amount of money with the ROI, in just a few years...

Take the money. Use some to buy property to rent to my current employer. Pursue my current hobby as soccer player developer and coach, which is my actual passion.

Is this question supposed to be hard?

The sad part is, that most nurses are this stupid.

Pass.

$1.5 million doesn’t go as far as it used to.

Scruffy likes his job.

I am one of the lone people that agrees with you. I love my job and make great money doing it.

1.5 million after tax is not enough to leave it.

Use part of it to hire a damn good lawyer and sue them for the damage to my genitals when they dropped such a heavy amount on my poor lap unexpectedly.

1. Pay off all current obligations
2. Retain ~200K liquid
3. Invest remainder
4. Teach part-time at local Community College
5. Fish a lot

ETA...besides current investments, I also have a pension. I would probably defer the pension payments until full retirement age to avoid penalties.
