Most of the people she is pandering to can't afford to eat there. Any initial pity bump she sees from the white guilt crowd with money won't be sustainable. There just simply aren't enough of them on the Northshore. (for now).

It's just this last week everyone has lost their filter.

All these people who are otherwise normal people have decided they are gonna follow the lead of the Blue Checkmark Bridgade on Twitter. I've seen ppl on social media attempt to martyr themselves bc they are emotional AF about ideological horseshite that mostly doesn't even directly affect their lives. They'll even preface their brazen rants by "this may not be good for business" or "I'll lose followers/friends, but..."

Twitter is not real life - Facebook is not real life. Why risk pissing people off or potentially screwing up relationships or business in your real life to virtue signal for no gain whatsoever? It's fricking bizarre.

Shes a stupid woman...not because she supports BLM but she has seen how many are exactly the Khaleesi meme that has circulated. She doubled down on that and thought she would be praised. She forgets that 85 percent of the world doesn't live in a social media vacuum 24/7. She is going to lose business.

We should have a liberal talking points bingo with these people. They all follow the same formula.

As for the dumb restaurant owner, she thinks she’s entitled to free thoughts and speech but people with opposing positions are not. She’s getting exactly the result she was hoping for, she just didn’t expect it to be directed at her. Then did exactly what they all do, become the “victim”.

We are all worried about our children/families from radicals intent on doing harm. I’m glad she’s feeling it too. When the people intent on destroying you solely for your beliefs or skin color come for your kids they’re not going to take the time to check your Facebook cred.

Will her business decline? Probably in the short term. However, Covington is awash in the Karena virus. The older Covington families will bail, but the NOLA transplants will still eat there in a visual display of virtue signaling. They will play it off via feigned ignorance of these circumstances, but they will be there.

On another note, I have really never been impressed with Del Porto. I have yet to have a great meal. Good meals...yes, great...nope.
I personally prefer quite a few other restaurants (with Gallagher’s being my favorite). Just my .02.

I laughed and said y’all are late to the party! We stopped for the same reason back in 2012????????
