Someone at work is he/they and I thought it was a mistake. It's not, it's called a rolling pronoun.

Rolling pronouns are when more than one set of pronouns are used interchangeably or change over time depending on the individual's preference in a particular time and space. They can change from day to day or situation to situation.

Just utter nonsense

I'm not sure why so many people bend over backwards to accommodate "preferred" pronouns.

I prefer a lot of things I don't get. Most of being an adult is dealing with not getting what you prefer.

Everything Progressives support operates from pure fantasy. As much as they like to insult Christians, their politics is their religion.

These are the same people that think young children are sex objects and men can have babies. Nothing is real.

IMNSHO they etc. are plural and stand for two or more individuals.

Individuals trying to lay claim to "they" aren't interesting enough to be plural and are lucky they haven't been demoted to halves.

How do you deal with verb usage?

If "they" is a reference to the singular rather than plural, to you change the verb?

If "he" is going to the store, is it "They is going to the store?"

That’s why you have to create value for yourself. Some jobs out there, you probably have to have the right pronouns

You’re right. The cure for this madness isn’t engagement, it’s utter disregard.

They is the proper pronoun for a single person if you don't know their gender. You probably use it all the time.

Whether this usage is proper has been debated for hundreds of years.

I was in New Orleans on business a few days ago and watching the local news. Reporter "they were hit by a bus" "they died at the hospital" talking about some local girl. I assumed many died and they showed the girl who was hit and killed. She went by "they". I couldn't believe what I was hearing. How have "they" infiltrated every aspect of society and getting people to follow this insanity? I truly don't understand how far we have fallen as a country. Especially when our retarded president is hanging that devil flag on the white house while topless dancers are prancing around the white house lawn. Its lunacy.

Not enough for any sane person to work in that shite for more than a week.

I can't fake interest, regardless of how much you pay.

To be fair, and I'll preface this with saying I think the pronoun/trans/etc shite is complete horseshite..

.. people have been using "they" when they don't know the gender/name of the person for ages. Like if I email you and I say, "I have a client who needs to know where they report to for XYZ", and you reply, "They need to be at X place for Y time."

So.. Ehhh. Whether or not it was recognized as proper English is something I'm unsure of (I have an English degree an don't remember learning about situations where you don't know if the person you're speaking about is male or female), but it 100% is something all of us have done plenty of times before this gender shite spiraled out of control.

It only sounds stupid when you know the person's gender and you're still using the term ~as their pronoun~.
