I think it can be true that the worker never should have said that/didn't wanna make your sub every day AND that eating Subway five days a week isn't the most healthy decision either.
Still, as someone who has done some customer service work, you can't talk to paying customers like that.

Final Word . I am obese . I have lost 19 lbs during the past two months with fasting, eating healthy most of the time and lifting.
I know work g at Firehouse Subs isn’t a lifetime career for everyone. I’m sorry the female worker was upset but I do show respect to those who work in the service industry.
My goal is to get down to 170 lbs. I’m at 200 right now. I apologize if it seemed like I was putting fast food workers down.

Your experience reminds me of something that happened to me at the Schewegmann’s on Coursey in BR in the 1990’s. I went to the deli to get a pound of sliced meat and I saw a sign that said “buy 1 pound, get 1 pound free.” A second pound of meat would have gone to waste so I asked the woman working there if it’s the same deal if I order 1/2 a pound. She turned to another woman who she must have been training and said loudly “See? People want to make up they own rules” before telling me no.
I never went back there and it seems like she was an early indicator of what was in store for that area.
