The people of EBR have bowed and prayed to the neon god they made. The signs have finally flashed out their warning in the words that they were forming. The signs said: "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls and tenement halls and whispered in the sounds of silence"

This is terrible for EBR

Maybe I am giving them too much credit, but I have to think that in back of their mind they know its stupid, but they are just doing what their constituents want..

Or maybe they tell their constituents what they "need", get them all worked up and make them think they are the person who fights for them.. in order to keep getting elected.

What she really wants to say is they don't want BR cops from Livingston Parish

I actually had someone on the Advocate FB page reply to my comment that "they didn't want Klan cops policing BR."

The hilarious thing about all of this is that if we gave them what they wanted (an all-black police force), they'd all get the ever living shite beat out of them. Black cops hate these dipshits more than most whites do

this is just her chance to attach her name to some legislation, they didn't even know they wanted this until a week ago. Now suddenly its the magic way to fix everything.

Must not what whitey employed by their police force.

It's pretty hard to pay for private school tuition on a cop's salary.

When N.O. passed its residency law, the number of black police officers did not increase significantly. So, they lowered the educational requirement to be a NOPD officer, from having to have a college degree to just a high school diploma. That raised the numbers somewhat, but it was not until they dropped the use of a written exam requirement down to simply passing a verbal exam that they got close to the numbers of black officers they wanted. And look where N.O. stands today re violent crime.
