I am offended of that noose. He should be sent to jail like the kid in Mississippi got sent to jail.

This idea is a big fail. It's been discussed many times before. The city parish government has threatened firefighters and city police with this empty tactic, usually when pay negotiations become heated. I guess next the city-parish govt. will demand that its employees not shop {tax $$} in Livingston or Ascension parish. What a waste of time.

Uneducated ignorance literally grasping at everything but the issue.
Quit killing yourselves off at an alarming rate and the police won't have to come pick up your loved ones in hand-cuffs or body bags... pretty simple really. Gary Chambers is a special kind of stupid

Are they gonna have a light up address bar for the cop cars? This is completely stupid. This requirement will do nothing but make the police force weaker. Maybe thats what they want.

its a win-win for chauna. She gets her name out there on this piece of legislation, it will get rejected for the retarded piece of crap that it is, and she can go back to her constituents looking like a hero because whitey is holding her down.
The only losers are her constituents who would better benefit from a representative that has ideas that aren't retarded and could actually help them. Oh well.

I actually had someone on the Advocate FB page reply to my comment that "they didn't want Klan cops policing BR."
I wasn't kidding when i said they don't want cops from Livingston.
I've interacted with blacks in BR that refuse to go to Livingston parish b/c they think something will happen to them.
It's as if they think the KKK is patrolling the parish just waiting for a black guy to show himself so they can beat him for no reason.
I didn't grow up in the BR or Livingston area, but i've lived in both for the last 15 years, half of that time in each parish. I don't know what happened in the past, but there's definitely some stigma that blacks in BR still hold about Livingston Parish.
I will say that i've seen many of rebel flags flying behind trucks in Livingston, and i've witnessed old white guys put a rude black guy in his place at a restaurant. Nothing racist said, just telling him to act right and quit being a rude inconsiderate bitch.

Democrats are the kings of anonymous sources that just so happen to conveniently fit their bullshite agenda.

Chauna Banks is possibly the dumbest human-being alive. She may even be dumber than fat Gary. Possibly.
This whole police officer residency requirement thing is total BS. It's like they want to hire blacks to patrol the streets in hopes that the blacks won't get arrested by black cops. They can't fix crime so they just want to hide it with black police officers looking the other way.
I talked to a black BR police officer in line somewhere about the residence requirement ordinance and he said it would "be a total disaster." He said they are having recruitment problems as is. He said officers get paid like $20K more in Houston and Dallas and people that want to be cops are just moving there.
It's always nice when former gang members like silky whatever are driving the legislative conversation. What a fricking joke.

Silky Slim wasn't even a good dope dealer back in the 80's. How does someone fail at selling something that sells itself? He was so afraid of Stevie Robinson, he left the state.
Reformed gang member? That's funny. He must be in the same gang as Fat Gary.

" Have guns , will travel" is their motto?
So he's saying Cops aren't motivated simply by some altruistic concerns for Baton Rouge or any particular city/ region?

Whole E Sh!te. Way to Go NBR, you elected a rocket surgeon there. Demented she says? Pot meet kettle, according to Merriam Webster..
demented: not able to think clearly or to understand what is real and what is not real.

When you whittle their arguments and wants down, you'll find this to be the foundation of their reasoning. Their ultimate solution is for police to turn a blind eye to any criminal activity besides murder.

Can we start a gofundme page for fat Gary so we can purchase him an ironing board?
In Gary's defense( since you all are obsessed with this relatively obscure guy) , he can manage to somehow afford the "astronomical" cost of living in EBR Parish.

Or maybe they tell their constituents what they "need", get them all worked up and make them think they are the person who fights for them.. in order to keep getting elected.
Nail on the head. gullible/uninformed voting base.

Gary could also afford to have a really nice, cheap place in NBR, but he would rather pay more to have his office in crackerville.
