Of course there will be a surge of infections after easing restrictions. You have to be a moron to think otherwise.
But if there isn't a SEVERE correlating spike in hospitalizations, ventilator usage, and deaths, it's perfectly fine.
Lockdowns are for preventing hospital overrun, not eradicating the virus.

We’re their hospitals overwhelmed? Did people die because there wasn’t enough care? If not, open it back up and stop this madness. There isn’t a cure. The only way this will end without a cure is to get herd immunity.

there is no stopping the spread
unless there is a vaccine, the same approximate number of people will be infected (and die). the only variable we can somewhat control is the time period for these infections and deaths to occur
the early jump countries like SK and Germany got via test/tracing are, effectively, worthless in the big picture

I just hope it doesn't get to be a situation where the "right move", as for as the politicians are concerned, is to close shite down again. At some point you have to just leave it up to people to make their own decisions and do what's best for them.

Notice you haven't seen/heard much about "flattening the curve" in about 4-5 weeks. We've moved on to the need to completely eradicate the virus before returning to normal life. Keep up!!!!
