I can’t be the only one here subjected to the horrendous back pain these pathetic excuses of accommodations that Woman’s Hospital provides for new fathers while staying with the mother after childbirth.

A few years ago this torture device destroyed my back after my first was born. Tonight I find myself sleeping on this thing again and it’s happening again while my wife plops her arse in the hospital bed all comfortable and shite getting her titties sucked all day/night like I’m not a socially distant 10’ away writhing in pain, unable to stand and reach out for anything without freezing in pain and shrieking louder than my two day old baby.

If I ever win the lottery, I’m donating legit beds with high quality mattresses for the father in each room here. I understand this hospital focuses on the needs of women but damn, it’s obvious they’ve never spent a night on these things.

At least I learned I made it to Tier 3 while going through these trying times.

I just remember sleeping like shite because my daughter screamed all night. This was at the current police HQ though. I assume the hospital didn't move the old furniture down Airline?

You have a weak arse back if a hospital sleeper wrecked it to the point of typing up that melty wall of text. Just spent a night in one a month ago, and it was fine enough.

Wow.
You sound like quite the bitch.

I can't wait 'til you find out that the baby isn't yours!

Hospitals REALLY don't want you to stay overnight. They're not going to make it comfortable if you do.

Women will never admit it but those beds are just as hard as child birth, only we aren’t allowed narcotics

My first kid, the wife was in labor for 30+ hours. There wasn’t a lot of sleep happening. After Kid 1 was born that sofa bed felt like the nicest mattress in the world. I slept like a baby

I have slept there several times. I don’t remember it being bad at all. In fact, I thought it was pretty good for what it is - a hospital pull out bed. I slept on some kind of chair at Lafayette General years ago - that thing sucked.

Also, props to cafeteria at Women’s.

Cafeteria is awesome at woman’s. I would say I spent 1/2 and 1/2 between the crappy pull out bed thing and the cafeteria.

I would’ve licked labor dookie for a sofa bed. I slept on a fricking domino with sheets.

This past Sunday and Monday nights make 6 nights I’ve slept on those sofas. I didn’t find them that bad. A recliner would have been awesome though.
