I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who has had back problems from these things.

I do have a pretty crappy back, FTR.
I've had 2 fusions in 4 years, so..... you might still just be a pussy

Yeah, your wife carrying that baby for 9 months and spitting it out has it so easy. Poor you.

Loved staying there for birth if each kid. Long before Covid though so I bet that’s annoying. Cafeteria there is awesome. Bed was ok. It’s not like you’re gonna sleep well for at least the next 10 years. That day or 2 having the nursing staff take care of your wife is 100x better than the first week or so at home IMO.

If your wife is about to give birth, be sure to complain about the uncomfortable bed as much as possible

Uh try sleeping on the sofa/bed in the NICU for even a short nap. You’ll be begging for that bed upstairs I can promise you that.

Bruh they make air mattresses nowadays that are more comfortable than your mattress at home.

Wait. You stayed over night? I mean your wife and kid are being waited on hand and foot by a fleet of nurses. You should have bounced right after that cord was cut to go enjoy your last quiet night ever at your pad.

This. I can see staying one night for your first kid but after that as long as everyone is healthy, gtfo and let them do their thing. There’s nurses there to check on them every hour.

Not much you can do unless you’re lactating

I stayed with my wife throughout the duration of her stay for both of our kids. There were many times when I was able to bond with my kids in peace without interruption that way. If you wait until they get home to start bonding with the baby you’re going to be interrupted by friends and family constantly. At least in the hospital you don’t get that as much (and in this case, none at all due to COVID restrictions). I was also able to help my wife up and to the bathroom instead of getting a stranger to do that. I don’t know, maybe I’m just not a shitty father & husband but there wasn’t anything that was going to stop me from being there as long as my wife and kids were.

I’ve read enough of your threads and post to honestly say I disagree with this.

You obviously have taken 95% of my posts & threads wayyy too seriously. There’s TDsngumbo online who loves very inappropriate humor and then there’s the real life man behind that facade who is actually a very good Christian professional man and father. There are posts in my history that the real life me would never be proud of if confronted with.
