A video of 10 or 15 disgruntled toddlers just wrecking shop at a McDs would be kind of cool.

Skinnier kids are inherently less likely to get hit with a bullet, so thank you City of New Orleans for keeping us safe.

In the grand scheme of things, the drink is probably the least unhealthy part of a Happy Meal.

This is overreach on a ridiculous level.
And people will support it and lap it up because, ultimately, they are lazy and don’t want to take responsibility for their own behavior. We are fricked as a country.

What an idiot. This means absolutely nothing. It will have zero impact on obesity rates and is just a means for mediocre intellects to wield power over others.

I get wanting kids to be healthier but this is just dumb and punishes the parents who actually are responsible. I’m sure the trashy family with the 150 pound 10 year old will just give little Timmy a 2 liter of Mountain Dew later anyway

Bruh.

Kids guzzle soft drinks and fruit juice (which, despite what people say in this thread, are terrible for you.)

It’s amazing how many obese kids there are now.

crazy, my kids, and all their friends drink water and on occasion will have something like OJ or 1 of those watered down fruit juices.

I'm glad New Orleans is tackling the important issues, like banning dangerous soda. Now little Johnny can get shot by the felon who was out on bail after murdering 3 people because of his skin color, while drinking his apple juice, instead of those scary cokes!

I was gonna say, why don't they just ban guns from young thugs. That would solve everything...

also.. make murder illegal...

So to sum up, your kids might be a little less fat (not really, still eating fast food), but they still have a higher than normal chance of being a victim of violent crime in a very dangerous city.

Not necessarily. With the obesity rate undoubtedly going down from this ordinance, victims can away faster from their killers, lowering their chances of being murdered.

Umm, I guess ylu have never seen a black person. Weird. Or white families that load up on Gatorade for their kids

Coke being this boogie man while kids chug Gatorade and fruit punch is hilarious

I plan going to McDonald's in the city every day by myself and order a happy meal with a diet coke and just give it to one of the dudes living under the interstate. It's a soda with no sugar, bitches!!! Can't wait for the future conversations.
