Social media isn’t the real world

Don’t get worked up by the craziness you see from social media (mostly twitter). This is just is just a quantum subset of the populace that have enough time and energy to write asinine shite (and journalists). Once I realized that I just gave up even worrying about it. The rest of us have real lives to lead, jobs to work etc.
If twitter was real, Hilary would be president and after she lost, and they explained it away bernie would be the nominee this year.

I used to think that, but it's not true. Twitter is becoming more and more invasive in the real world.
Look at all this shite going on now. All these companies and corporations getting behind Twitter movements. All of these protests were organized on Twitter.
All of this crazy racial shite spread around on Twitter.
Like it or not, Twitter is at a point where it is impacting everyone in the real world. Most high school and college kids use it. They all absorb it.
Twitter really does have a real effect in the real world.

Yeah Twitter is crazy. I seriously felt like I had really lost touch with the rest of the world until I realized just how biased Twitter was.

Its not the real world, and I'm doing my part as a parent to teach my kids that a lot of the views they see plastered all over it aren't indicative of most people's feelings.
