I did for the month of June this past summer. Went 34 days in total. Memorial Day to July 4th. It’s really not that hard. First weekend can be but after two weeks you don’t even notice and after it’s done you really don’t even miss drinking. You kinda wanna keep it going. Also you feel a lot better both mentally and physically. I lost like 10lbs. You can do it.

And don’t let the “it’s football season” talk you of it. There’s always going to be something going on. So just commit to it and do it if you really want to.

My problem is I never get hungover, and when I do it is from like a three day bender. Like it’s been well over a decade since I’ve been hungover from a single night of drinking.

how much xanax are you on?

My response during my drinking days would have been that you simply aren't drinking enough...

I mean, I’ll do a bender with my friends who suffer the next day and I’m fine. The thing is my liver will compound the hangover I think. This last Labor Day weekend did a few days of Phish and Monday was the worst hangover I’ve had in years. Bled into Tuesday. Probably vomited 9 times. That was brutal and a good reminder of my mortality.

Literally all of this is false. Aside from football.

Doing a sober football season this year. Going pretty good. Lost 20+ pounds already. Going to go through Thanksgiving games. If we lose to FSU the last game of the year, I am immediately off the wagon.

January works better for me. Come out of that Football/Thanksgiving/Christmas/NYE stretch and give your body a good reset before Mardi Gras
