I believe in a system of weighted averages using IQ. The more intelligent you are, the more valuable and meaningful your vote is

When the unproductive population reaches a certain percentage of the total population, I think it's fair to reconsider the rules.

The people paying the bill should have a little more say in what they are paying for, in my opinion.

Or else you could lose complete control of the expenses of the nation.

Democracy is a terrible form of government.

I miss the republic.

This was my point! We are getting dangerously close to people voting on things that have no clue on how it affects them. Just being sent to vote for an agenda.

Personally, I think only contributors should be allowed to vote. If you take from the government more than you pay in taxes, you get no vote because you're a leech.

Every state should legalize the frick out of weed. Also more penalties harsher for drunk driving and impairment. Too many options such as Uber to drink and drive or get smoked out and drive.

I think the land ownership rule or income rule would be dumb. My family clears 250k and I don't own any land. Also, people living below the poverty line have the most reason to vote. Proof of household paying taxes I would agree with. That would allow stay at home mothers/fathers to vote as long as they have appropriate spousal support.

This is the problem. We got people voting that contribute nothing back! So you have a license and have no prison time! Well then step right up! . Judging by the down votes lot of unproductives on tigerdroppings. Sorry to hurt your feelings .

What if our future leaders decide to make your degree and industry that you work in obsolete? Then you become unproductive but wouldn't be allowed to vote for those that can help your industry get back to where it once was.

Some of you are ignorant of our history. We tried this. Only problem was Jews, and NE rich white people horded all of our natural, and financial rescources, and then used the government to surpress the rest of us. Had we continued to allow them to rule, most of us posting on this board would be working in a factory for food and shelter.

There should be some basic intelligence test to be allowed to register to vote. Nothing incredibly difficult...just enough to make sure that people who cast votes are intelligent enough to understand the issues they vote on.

Depends on how "productive" is defined.

Income redistribution insures that those who previously had no money to spend now do and as such become consumers of goods. Consumers are necessary and are therefore "productive".
