The mindset of some of you people blows my mind.
Not saying it's right or wrong, but I am sure there was some panic that went on when this took place. One person might have noticed the white dude running away. At the time, as they try to make sense of the situation, that person mentions it. Other people might have not paid that much attention to it, but once they heard someone else say it, it fits what they are trying to remember.
Maybe the fact that the people who did it, thought they got away with it because they see the police are looking for a white man helped catch them.
But after someone guns down a mother's 7 year old, I doubt that mother is going to purposely use it to make it a racial situation.

White on black
Asian on black

Could the police sketch been any worse? Looks nothing like either of the culprits. Even if you knew the culprits, and knew the one that had the red pick up truck, you would look at the sketch and say no way is that him.

Not sure if serious, but if you are, it's because the sketch is a completely different person. They're not even the same race.

I think the mom lied about the racially motivated part because she knew the sympathy it would garner.
I'm not convinced they intentionally lied about the shooter being white. I think they saw a white guy flee and assumed/wanted it to be him. The lies came after that, IMO.

I think it's very possible that she provided the description because she was afraid of retaliation if she ID'd the shooter. Seems like he also had a beard & then didn't. The description was way too detailed for that time of morning & it's pretty likely they ducked once shots were fired. Regardless of the motivation or circumstances, her daughter was murdered & her other children witnessed it. For that, they have my sympathy & prayers.
