So My Niece Wants to Be An Assassin

Was talking to my 12 yr old niece (no pics) yesterday afternoon and we got on the topic of future career choices. She said she wants to be an assassin. I kinda laughed and was like no, really? And she 100% seriously told me she wants to be an assassin for the U.S. Govt. She said she'd like to kill people and not really get in trouble for it. She's already attempting to learn Arabic on her own and plans on taking it in college.
I'm pretty sure my niece is a sociopath
I told my brother and he thinks it's just a phase. If she were my kid, she'd be going to therapy

Maybe killing Hadjis is what is discussed often in the home. Kids model what they hear and see.

My friend’s daughter always anted to be in the CIA. Solid athlete in high school and is in Arabic Studies at a college in DC. She already interned with them one summer.

I don't see anything wrong with it. She should be encouraged if that is really what she would like to do.
When I turned 30 I kinda had an mini-early-mid-life crisis where I really beat myself up over my career path. I would have loved to be a CIA field agent or some sort of black-ops operator. Not just for the killing though (that is a little out there that she said that about killing with no consequence). It was more about traveling and doing interesting work with badass equipment.
Oh well, maybe in another life...
