So this is what ended up happening...

I told her that some people are just dicks and they're going to be dicks. If not you, somebody else. Where I work people probably call me shite all day long. You can't let that stuff get to you. Insecure people look for the easiest targets because they're small people on the inside.

As you get further into your career you'll find some people just will not like you and there is nothing you can do about it. Shake it off. Some folks find the easier path to hate on everything and everyone. They're just terrible people.

If this escalates to outright calling names or isolation, then maybe the best route is HR. For now, just ignore it and kill them with kindness. Apparently she is working this weekend with the guy who is being a dick. I told her to continue the kindness route and ignore or call him out one on one but offer to put things in the past. You've got to be the bigger person.

All else fails. I smash this 5'6 dudes face in. Little dick motherfricker.

Probably. I find drama queens in the workplace are usually exactly that.

Circle K has always been a tough place to work. Tell her to wait it out and management will change.

And there you have it, just have her call him umpalupa.

Pat him on the head for emphasis.

I had a situation kinda similar where an attorney at my ex-girlfriends office was making comments of a sexual nature to her. Nothing out of this world obscene, but telling her her arse looked good in a certain dress and definitely flirting with her. The attorney was the highest authority at the office but they had an attorney that was his boss at another office. The problem was that that attorney was a sleaze bag who had supposedly looked her up and down and ‘undressed her with his eyes’ as she put it. She didn’t trust going to him. I really didn’t know what kind of advice to give her on what she should do. Luckily, the guy was fired because of some other shady shite he did so that pretty much solved the problem. But, it was a tough situation and I didn’t have a clue what the right thing to do was. We thought about getting an outside attorney involved and that probably what we were going to do if it continued. She was a bit of a drama queen though so although I couldn’t say it to her, I wondered how serious of a situation it actually was. Anyway, good luck with your situation. I’m still curious what we should have done in ours so if anyone wants tho chime in, I’m listening...

They called the girl T-Rex because she got short arms I guess. r

I went to high school with a boy named kelly that was called the same thing. But he had for real short arms, like hands coming out of his shoulders short.
He had to listen to a lot of shite about always wearing long sleeves when it was hot too.
That short armed Barney bastard always had a smile on his face though. Maybe your girl should just learn to smile more, and people will stop when they realize it didn’t get a reaction like they wanted.

Baw should be more upset he’s engaged to someone who can’t give a proper reach around.

a somewhat famous motivational speaker, tried to frick my soon to be wife at a work retreat when we were engaged. He sent flowers and wine to our apartment a week later. I sent him a thank you card for the wine

ETA - probably should edit his name out

So people are saying mean things about her in a group text she was never meant to see?

How is that harassment?

Not everyone will like you. Tell your fiance to grow up and welcome to the real world.

Find out what cars they drive, pop a few tires and bust a few windshields, they'll get the point.

In all seriousness...

She...SHE should:

A) Have the coworker send her the texts
B) Speak with her manager about the situation
C) If that does not work, then she needs to go to HR about it

If nothing happens after that, and she's still being harassed, then she should file an EEOC complaint - but that's a last resort, nuclear option.

What type of work environment is this?

Tell her to take it to the guy that wrote the text and ask him real sweetly what can she do to change his opinion of her. He will probably turn red as a beet, squirm, tell her he was just kidding, and will never mess with her again. If he does, tell her to go straight to HR.

I've never encountered this in adult life. Why would they focus on her? Is she unknowingly making their job more difficult? Are these nurses picking on her?
