Thanks for the link. Great read. Probably, the majority of Americans don't believe that type of conflict is possible in USA. Tensions have continued to rise, main stream media and government continues to stir the pot of discontent. Between politics and race, the pressure continues to build and eventually will be released.
I don't think there is any way to reverse the direction at this point.

Just two years ago, I chuckled at people who prepped for this shite.

Now? Not so much.

BB's and pellets for air gun. 10,000 in a back pack. Provides access to seagulls, pelicans and egrets. Standard ammunition would be too heavy and valuable to harvest a bird

A Bible written in braille and Mila Kunis. I’ve already seen how this plays out.

I’ve got a good pellet gun and just 1000 pellets, but I’ve though about how useful it would be for harvesting food. It’s deadly on squirrels and birds and pretty quiet.

I say the same about my 22LR. I can carry 1000 shots and a sandwich all day week through the swamp.

I would be VERY selective with whom I would barter with.

There would be way too many idiots out there who are so unprepared and barely have little or no provisions stored, for even a week or two.

In a SHTF situation there are gonna be tons of desperate hungry folks looking for just something to eat. High on the list will be medical supplies as well.

When word gets out that you have supplies, you will be swarmed by hordes of desperate people.

Best strategy would be to keep the gray man concept. Keep as low a profile as possible.

That may sound cold but my main priority is my family. I will go to any and all lengths to protect and provide for them.

If I would barter, it would be something like alcohol.

BTW, I like this website: LINK

Lots of common sense articles.
