Stock up on the cheap whiskey, it'll be like gold.

I think about the old mountain men, hot commodities were sugar and flour.

Cheap with a high alcohol content. Can be used for drinking and as an antiseptic.

I'm not doing the City route like this guy.
Swamps are all around my house and I can disappear in the deep. Squirrels and rabbits , deer , hogs , bout everything all around me.
Plenty of ammo , don't need toilet paper. got Bug Juice and water.
Your gonna have to slip thru a bunch of swamp to get to me on a dry Hammock

I would be in the scrap metal business.
But that would just be a front for a mind altering drug business where people can escape their reality.

IF I hadn’t already had the boating accident when I lost the following, my trove of pre-1965 US silver coins and firearms with ammo probably would come in handy in an apocalypse….

Failing to plan is planning to fail.

The concept of prepping is now of interest to me.

In the recent past, I sorta chuckled at prepper types, believing they were sorta unhinged and a bit wacko. Now, not so much.

We live in strange times. Strange times can lead to unstable times.

I'm much more open minded to this sorta thing now.

So with ammo as a given, I would go with food and fuel. Get your system for making those and you are in charge. Bonus riches for making alcohol (of any kind).

It is actually a fun hobby.

I learned the backroads of my current state and options to get locations if I wanted to avoid major thoroughfares.

Learned other skills. I enjoy it.
