Chantix sucked for me. Wanted a smoke, but when I smoked it didn't give me anything back.

I still wanted a smoke but it took the edge off and I didn't snap and kill anyone.

They don't know the health consequences of vaping yet. Theoretically, it should be healthier but there are studies coming out saying it may not be a safer alternative.

If you're talking about the popcorn lung stuff, that's only certain flavorings. Good vendors shouldn't be using the diacetyl containing flavors.
Still you're right. There hasn't been enough time to do full scale longitudinal studies on vaping.

Just quit cold turkey bro, you can do it. It's been a little over 4 months since I quit and I hardly get cravings any more. The first month was tough, but it becomes very manageable after that. Good luck.

You'll still die early, but just won't stink nearly as bad in the mean while

I believe vaping is a good tool to ween yourself off nicotine. You can gradually decrease your nicotine concentration of the e-juice. For me, once I got down to 0mg nicotine, vaping straight e-juice was nasty and quit entirely.
There are chemical analysis charts of certain e-juice that is very harmful, I would suggest buying from a reliable retailer that sells quality e-juice. I use to make my own e-juice so it's a lot cheaper in the long run.
Goodluck to you and your journey of being smoke-free.

i quit smoking over 4 years ago in favor of vaping. I don't use one of those damn cannons that will fill a room with smoke. I'm not even sure what purpose that serves. i bought a decent setup that has served me well, and use it because i didn't want to quit smoking. I like it. But recently I had to completely stop the nicotine due to spinal fusion surgery i recently had. This surgery which i understand that bones won't fuse due to the fact that nicotine destroys the cells of the bones that promote bone repair and growth. so rather then quit i went to 0% nicotine, and i find i use it much less, and i'm sure due to the fact that the addiction to the nicotine has been broken. i have to mention that I used it more at the beginning, because I guess I was missing the nicotine, but within about a month that stopped. Just a thought if you're really trying to quit all together.

Nicotine is very addictive. Whether you smoke cigs, vap, cigars, pipe, your addicted. Your chances for cancer, heart attack, stroke, etc are highly elevated if you're addicted to nicotine.
Buy Allen Carr's "Easy Way To Stop Smoking", read it, and quit once and for all. You'll be thankful.

That is kind of the point. Get you to where you don't get that feeling you enjoy from smoking so you just say frick it and quit.

I'm no longer a daily smoker but if I'm drinking and someone has a cigarette, I'll take a drag or bum one.

Been a pack a day smoker for 20 years. Tried the vape thing but it doesn't give me the same nicotine kick as my camels. I need to quit it's just difficult. Nicotine addiction is a bitch.

You guys thoughts on vaporizers and using it as a quit smoking tool?
It's how I quit - smoked for 13 years, was done in 3 or 4 months. Haven't had a cig in nearly 2 years now.

Just do Chantix, side effects aren't that bad like people act like. Basically same side effects you get when quitting cold turkey. Former 2 pack a day smoker
Same here. Chantix worked for me (or whatever they called it 10 years ago). Never looked back. Like others have said, you have to mentally tell yourself you aren't a smoker any more. I know that I will never be able to smoke again or I'll go right back to the pack a day habit.

everyone has to find their own way to quit
the last time that worked for me was;
1. stopped buying cartons.
2. changed the times I'd light up...usually forced myself to wait 20minutes after eating etc
3. kept the cigs in a ziplock baggie to keep from getting stale
4 a slow gradual taper off from regular use, actually got down to just one at bedtime, til one day I just didn't buy them anymore...and that was in the mid 1980's
