and yes, I am fun at parties

I bet you actually believe they are laughing with you and not at you.

I didn't think "I'm a who dat" could be trumped by a larger cringe video, but she played her own self.

What in the hell is wrong with this chick?

What about the baws and bawette that dress in costumes and chase chickens instead?

You know…the REAL Mardi Gras.

Aren't all holidays essentially made up? Christmas and the time of year it falls is usurping a pagan festival. Easter piggybacks on Passover. 4th of July is made up as is Thanksgiving. Carnival is as old as if not older than Christianity.

Funny listening to all the Nola libs that take offense to any negativity towards MG.

Nola is an absolute shithole geographically, economically, politically, etc!

Nola is a perfect example of the juice isn’t worth the squeeze.

I always laugh at people who live south of I10 trash us living north of I10. I will have to explain to everyone in St Landry, Acadia, and Evangeline Parishes that they don’t celebrate Mardi Gras in the traditional way that goes back to France. We have a mixture of runs and parades. You can participate in one, both, or neither. I agree with the rest of your post.

Stay home a read a book. Most people in south Louisiana love Mardi Gras. We love to eat, drink and have a good time and Mardi Gras is about all this and more. I have one life to live and I’m going to live that mofo

The Spirit of Mardi Gras is never over for New Orleans. It is the Spirit of the People which can put on an incredible Super Bowl a little over a month following the worst terrorist attack on US soil since Maine 2006. And then Mardi Gras a couple of weeks later. With St Patrick's Day in another week after mini-Gras this weekend.

It's hilarious how proud NOLA people are of having strangers come to piss and puke on their sidewalks.
must be a Louisiana thing because it happens at LSU tailgating, too

in my experience, you are way more likely to come across obnoxious, fall down drunk people at an lsu game/tailgate than a mardi gras parade

It’s bad, but May 2020, what were most people doing? Non issue here.

I’m a Who Dat, however. Horrible.
