Any school district can opt out, public or private, IF THEY FOLLOW THE QUARANTINE REQUIREMENTS
If they don’t follow the quarantine requirements, they have to mask up
According to the regulations. In reality they can do whatever the hell they want

Leave them in place for those least susceptible to Covid? Makes total sense to me too

This confused me. Isn’t everyone following the quarantine requirements already anyway?

so this was a clear shot at the superintendent right?

Because Latoya will come after them, hard. She's fined and shut down temporarily quite a few already.
Our only hope is term limits

The state superintendent lifted quarantine requirements a month ago. This is JBEs way of saying frick you

At least it is somewhat lifted.
Doesn't really matter to me I guess as Orleans is never lifting it and Metairie the few times I have went there wasn't enforcing it anyway

I think this was his way of battling the parent's choice on quarantine that the Louisiana superintendent is allowing.

I'd just like to say frick JBE!

It's not going to work though. If a school district opts out, they're not adjusting their quarantine requirements back to what JBE wants them to be.
Pretty pointless parameter put in place by JBE and honestly its a clear petty move against the superintendent.

.@LouisianaGov lifts statewide #COVID19 mask mandate Tuesday except for schools, which will have to heed recommended quarantine policies before shedding face coverings. That's direct response to state Superintendent @cadebrumley, who relaxed quaratine rules #lagov #lalege
.@LouisianaGov: 'We have made tremendous progress and I have no doubt that reinstating the mask mandate was a key to this.' Edwards reinstated mask mandate in August during fourth surge driven by delta variant #lagov #lalege
"CDC guidance says everyone over the age of two years old who is not fully vaccinated should wear a mask," says @LouisianaGov
"People need to start planning now for a safe holiday season," says @LouisianaGov. He adds, "people have time to be fully vaccinated before Christmas."

Democrat politicians have to keep COVID insanity going as long as possible to manipulate elections via Ballot Harvesting.

How much money does the state get for having a K-12 mask mandate?
He’s doing this so his liberal buddies in Blue parishes can continue to be dictators over the children.

Maybe a few more restaurants/bars will start not giving a damn.
From this update though, I can't figure out if my kid in private school in Nola will continue to have to wear a mask.
Clear as mud.
