I gave my grown son my $4k Cannondale Lefty. I realized years ago I'm a roadie and at my age it's safer than slamming into a tree or busting my arse on a steep drop.

How close to moab are you?

Close enough to make a day trip out of it. That being said, I haven't ridden there in years. Moab is well know, but personally there are WAY better trail systems out there. I get the novelty of slick rock, but there are some unbelievable rides here if you know where to find them...

This is from one of our rides last summer...

I took my dog for a walk. Stopped to talk to a neighbor and watch some tree cutters taking down an oak tree. By the time I got home I had swamp arse.

Where yat Lonnie?
We lived in Utah County 15yr and Cache County 10 yr before the winter inversions and summer forest fire smoke along with the altitude exacerbated my wife's asthma such that I wasn't sure she would survive another winter, so we moved back to La.
Sure do miss it.

Yeah, like catching car rides to bicycle practice

You in SLC area? I hear the weather will be very mild this coming week. Good time to put in extra miles on the bike.

That Cottonwood fire had my beautiful views from Breckenridge Golf Club screwed up the last couple of days. The fireworks ban is warranted.
