Snapshot of my town this AM....

Took the kid to mountain bike practice this at 7 this AM (they're indoors because the air quality is bad because of all the wildfires around).
On the way home, stopped to talk to my neighbor taking his horse for a walk. (not riding it, walking it).
We were lamenting the fact that our joint annual fireworks show got canceled because the governor banned all consumer fireworks this year due to the extreme fire danger.
I guess I won't be trashy this year. But hey, I likely saved $500-$1k....

Eh. Say what you will, but he wakes up 3 days a week at 5:30 and rides between 14-18 miles a day. That includes 1,500-2,000 of climbing. He's puts in a ton of work. There are many, many worse things he could be doing with his time...
