Requiring all POS (yes, interpret that both ways) vendors to prominently offer “No Tip” as a checkout option.

It blows my mind how big of pussies people turn into when shown a tip screen on a POS portal…

You’re one of those legal vultures aren’t you? Wouldn’t be surprised if there was a “tip” option when your clients pay you. Probably mandatory 18% added onto the 1/3rd of the settlement you take already.

If there was a nope on all of the POS systems it would be cool.

This is a just a transactional thing.

Hitting custom, then, typing zero dollars, then hitting submit it’s just a pain in the arse.

Can’t the millennials program just one button hit it and be done? Seems like that’s what they want for everything else in life.

I do criminal defense work. I get paid the full fee up front. I don’t take contingencies, and I don’t take tips. Congratulations on being wrong on every single point of your post, though

To my recollection, I’ve never, literally never, had to do that. Are you just getting tunnel vision on the screen or something?

He’s right. That would be a good law.

Recently, we were at an upscale food court type place. No service. Just order food and pickup once you get your text. All of the POSs defaulted to at least 15%. Today we ate at a restaurant where the server runs your card and then cleans the table as you sign the portable POS. The default tip options on the screen were 20%, 25%, and 30% with her looking over your shoulder. Off The Hook in BR hands you a clipboard and credit card receipt in the drive though with a tip line to sign before they give you the food. Go ahead a stiff them and see how that works out

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always been an above average tipper. I put myself through college on tips. But this shite is getting worse every day.

I know y’all know it looks like it does for a reason. They want to make it hard for you to not tip

Walmart just had a controversy where people were buying $49 Walmart Plus subscriptions they didn’t want on their self checkouts because customers were confused on what to hit.

And for my encore, demand another federal law requiring all teevee commercial be at the same volume as the show in which they are embedded.
