Ever since this latest IOS update I had to do (a couple days ago) my phone is so slow I can barely use it. I'm sure this is a ploy to get people to go shell out a grand on a new one. Frick this I'm switching back to a flip phone.

I’m convinced these updates are designed to frick up older phones so that you think it’s dying and will buy a new one.

Has there ever been a Class Action suit against Apple based on these claims? If true, no way that’s legal.

Pretty much every company does this now.. Phones, appliances, electronics...

Planned obsolescence.

Android did this before iOS made it popular

The updates are always for stuff I never use or don’t care about and always at the very end it’ll say “enhanced security features” but doesn’t tell you what those are. So I never do the updates.

I don’t usually hate the updates other than having to learn a few different things but iOS 26.1 is garbage. Lots of bugs and the liquid glass display is hard to read. I’m not alone as there are many complaining about it.
Reasons to hate iOS 6
I wouldn’t be surprised to see another update to rectify this.

I liked the update at first. A little more aesthetically pleasing.

Over the past couple of days though, my 13 has been painfully slow, and the battery life has seemingly been cut in half. Apps regularly freeze or crash.

Hoping there's a patch that fixes these issues. But like others have alluded to, this seems like planned obsolescence. Apple's gotta find a way to keep pushing $1K devices out the door.

1. It's on purpose.

2. It's been true for a long time. This isn't new.

IF you think the phone is bad, dont buy a Imac. I have been using Mac for a very long time and overall, I still like it way better than a PC for what I do. But, they do purposely do this shite and especially with the Imac. I have to purchase new hardware every so many years because they stop "supporting" the older hardware and either my accounting software or whatever has to be upgraded. Just total BS

So about every 5 years or so, I have to get a new computer for about $1500 and then buy the latest Quickbooks and editing software. Just BS

I keep my phone well past update ability and until I can’t do anything with it.

My phone has been working surprisingly well and I actually don’t mind the refresh.

The only thing I don’t like is it takes two clicks to get to your tabs in safari. I also realize you can pinch the screen to accomplish the same thing, but it’s hard to do with one hand.

This has definitely been a thing. Luckily my employer provides my phone and I normally get upgraded every 18 months or so.

I hated the glass bubbles and found that this helps out a bunch.
