. Definitely have sleep apnea according to their result
In countries outside the US, you know what they call it? Snoring.

Guy who worked with me had it done. He had trouble falling asleep. He said attendant was a bitch and made matters worse.
Was a waste of time.
However different people will have different results.
Good luck.

Might need to try different masks depending on how you sleep, but a cpap can really be life-changing.
Amazing how getting a decent nightly sleep can enhance your life.

That’s it you figured it out

It’s not a racket. It’s a serious thing.

Does anyone ever take these "tests" and NOT be told they have sleep apnea?

If it helps the rest of my family be able to sleep without hearing my loud snoring and it helps me from waking up so much during the night it will be well worth it.
“Technician” nurse should be hooking wires soon.

All the time

My old man woke up some astronomical numbers of different times in 8 hours.
They basically told him he was the worst person ever at the test.

My wife now sleeps much better with me on the machine. I used to toss and turn all night and would sleep all over the house. Ever since I started the CPAP, I go to sleep on my back and wake up on my back. I make sure to take it with me if I’m sleeping away from the house and refuse to leave without it. My mask is only two modules for my nostrils.

Gal told me I was the loudest snorer she had heard in her 6 years doing it. Then I was told I was “borderline.”
I take 2 Tylenol PM and sleep like a baby.

I snore pretty loud and my wife wanted me to take the test. No sleep apnea, still snoring

I’ve been sitting in this room since 8:45 waiting for them to hook me up. About to get up and leave this fn place.

This. I was just about to doze off when the guy told me it was ok to roll over onto my stomach if I wanted. WTF? I barely made the minimum time of 1 hr sleep to validate the test.

Good luck. I am not a sleeping on my back type of guy. So it was difficult for me. Borderline hallucinating it was tough to fall asleep.

now, that would piss me off. gotta just suck it up though, as they'll probably still charge you even if you leave without doing the test.

Insurance covers it but I’m really shocked it is taking this long. He has been talking to this other “patient” for over an hour now. No way he is going to talk to me for an hour about what the procedure entails. This is ridiculous.
My luck the nurse is probably on TD purposely making me wait after reading this thread.
Seriously thinking about walking out of here at 11 pm if this doesn’t get started.

That’s illegal.
Your tech should not have waited this late to hook you up. He should have given you paperwork when you got there, answered questions about the paperwork, entered the information into the computer, then hooked up the leads and explained each while doing so. Both patients should be in bed by 10:30. To not have you hooked up at this time is just asinine and he won’t make it long. Most labs expect the tech to do a test from walking in the door to walking out in 10 hours now.

Sit tight. You sound like you need the test.
I had one last year, and they woke me at 1 AM and put a mask on me. Said I stopped breathing dozens of times.
But, they kind of set you up for it- sleeping on back will do that. I always sleep on my side. Oh well, anyway, I got the machine. Life is good.
