So what is wrong with that statement?

It’s ridiculous that somehow only those of European descent seem to “appropriate” things.

I guess the Africans and the natives just already knew everything. (Except things like, you know, the wheel and shite)

It’s a badly written article with an agenda. if pointing that out makes me a Nazi...well, everyone’s a Nazi to a leftist I guess.

Funny but all these invented by black slaves claims sound like the claims long ago that basically everything was invented by a Russian.

You know the Gravy train will read that and think it’s true and spread it around.

Never knowing it was a sketch from SNL.

Correct. The Spanish learned how to smoke meats by their Moorish invaders. Then they found Arawak/Carib Natives implementing barbacoa doing something similar....and they adopted.

In Medieval Europe, when an animal was slaughtered (often pigs) much of the meat was smoked for preservation. Many smallholdings had dedicated smoke houses where the meat was smoked and stored. The less affluent hung their meat high up on the edges or their hearth or fireplace at night. Ashes were placed over the embers to extinguish any flames which produced an ideal Smoky environment in which to preserve their fish or game

Europeans had been smoking things for thousands of years and had a very complex understanding of the smoking process

If they had all this during the medieval era, how would they be ignorant of the process hundreds of years later?

There’s nothing wrong with the statement. He doesn’t like you because of your tryhard, neckbeard, “well ackshuaaallly”, melodramatic posting style.
