I agree the owner should not have caved into this trouble maker.
I have security, tell my employees not to say anything let security escort people like that off the property, and let them know if they come back they will be charged with trespassing.

That woman is an idiot, but as an employee of the store, you have to be smarter than that. I busted out laughing when he took that giant step forward though. And I imagine it isn't a huge deal to him to lose a grocery store job.
My favorite part (outside of the step forward) is how upset and shaken she was about all of it...but then she was sure to turn the camera back around to record footage of just how upset and shaken she was.

These people blow my mind. I don't really support the confederate flag, but I can give a flying frick if someone else does and puts it on display. That goes for anything I might not really support. That is the great thing about this country, people have the freedom to support whatever they want. If you don't like it then simply just don't go back.
What did she think she was going to achieve by going up to the owner/manager (whoever the guy was) and telling him she was offended that there was a confederate flag? Did she think he was going to be like "Ma'am, I am so sorry that my views offend you. Let me remove it and change my views because I had no idea you would be offended". No. More times than not, if you tell someone that what they support or believe in is wrong, they are going to tell you to frick off.
As for her kids, I do think they were old enough to see that flag and think "well, I bet they have a few slaves in the back". Instead of teaching them "the world is filled with people who doesn't believe in the exact same things as you do. Deal with it, that's life" she is going to teach them to be huge twats who care about shite that does not affect their personal life in any way.
