Size of Africa on the map

Is anyone else seeing, on social media, this push to make Africa bigger? Apparently , it’s been intentionally underrepresented by us white colonizers. It’s a weird flex because it just proves Africa has done even less with more than we previously thought.
I’m sure they claim to have invented maps, so they only have themselves to blame.

I've been tempted to buy land in certain parts of the Continent..

I’ve literally never heard this.
The only thing close I’ve to move away from the Mercator projection in maps, that overemphasizes the size of higher latitude countries but Africa stays about the same, ditto for South America.
I suppose you can go in the other direction and match the proportions by making equatorial countries bigger

Everything you learned about the globe and especially maps and the size ratio is wrong.

Google maps fixed this issues years ago. It was once a legitimate complaint!

I've always found "the globe" hilarious. It's obvious that if one person is standing upright on top of "the globe", a person on the opposite side would be upside down. And yet IRL neither us nor the Australians are walking around upside down, with blood rushing to our heads. Which obviously completely demolishes the whole farce that the Earth is round.

The whole world is stupid for fighting over names of bodies of water and the size of countries on a map. None of this changes anything. The world is still a sh..show
