All stock. No cash paid. And it's not really a sealed deal yet.

an all-stock deal the companies said they value at about $3.5 billion. For every share of Pandora they own, shareholders will get 1.44 of newly issued shares of Sirius XM, the companies said in their announcement Monday.
...The deal has a “go shop” provision, which allows Pandora and its board to talk with other parties about doing a different deal.

Expect endless junk mail begging you to extend your Pandora Premium for $5/mo.

I, for one, welcome our new satellite overlords

Well that additional weight on their anchor should drag them down a little more quickly.

Do they still have Vivid Radio? Can I stream through Pandora for free now?

I've been thoroughly unimpressed with entune. Just Bluetooth

So if I’m a subscriber to Pandora but not XM, what happens? They bill me more?? Lol
Posted on 9/24/18 at 8:35 am to prplhze2000
Not the jump in stock I was hoping for.
Posted on 9/24/18 at 8:38 am to prplhze2000
Could they have bought Pandora just for all the streaming rights they have?

I got a free year of pandora plus from TMobile so might as well use it. I still pay for spotify. I use them for different purposes though. Pandora is good for finding new music and sometimes plays songs you forgot all about. Spotify is good if you want to listen to podcasts or specific songs or albums.
I use both

what makes Spotify better than Pandora?
(No, I'm not a techie).

Spotify is like an album collection. Pandora is a collection of radio stations.
I prefer to pick exactly what I want to play.

Why would I ever pay for Pandora when Apple Music is the bomb.
