Single women buying more homes? Question about "economic decline" of men

Why Single Ladies are buying a place of their own.
quote:
Single females make up 15 percent of all homebuyers, according to the 2016 National Association of Realtors Homebuyer and Seller Generational Trends report. The percentage increases for older buyers: 20 percent of buyers between ages 51 and 60 and, 19 percent between ages 61 and 69 are single females. That’s compared to the 9 percent of all homebuyers who are single males.
quote:
or young men 18 to 34, living at home with parents has been the dominant living arrangement since 2009, according to the Pew Research Center’s analysis of Census data. In other words, men in that age group are more likely to be living in the home of their parents than with a spouse or partner, while the reverse is true for young women.
I have some issues with these articles, and I am open to feedback if you disagree with me.
1. Most of these women buying homes are 50+. It's entirely possible that many of them were married, got divorced, and receive some form of alimony from their ex-husband in addition to what they earn in their job. I have not found any data correlating never-married women vs divorced single women.
2. I think the Men staying at home predicament is more nuanced than tradcons (most of you on this board) and liberals are showing.
a) Younger women in the 18 to 34 bracket are more likely to marry younger versus their male counterpart. And the people they are marrying are more likely to be older gentlemen who are already established in their career
It is very noticeable that they never indicate who these young women are marrying and what their SO salary is compared to their own.
b) Tying into the previous argument, it is a well-known fact that women usually pick majors/careers that are less profitable than men. Due to this fact, why is it believed that women earn more from 18 to 25? My only guess is that women's low earning jobs cap off earlier than men. And many service industry jobs offer generous tips for women (stripper, cocktail waitress, etc.)
c) The decline of certain industries has led to a drop in male participation.
Why are millions of men in their prime out of the economy?
This post is longer than I wanted.
TLDR It says college, parenting, disability, and prison are only small factors. The real problem is the shift of market forces from manufacturing to " ... jobs that have been considered women’s jobs—education, health, government."

There is obviously systemic oppression that is preventing single men from buying homes.
THIS IS NOT OK

Young women are buying houses
You men are renting trucks for 84 months then turning it in after 3 years and 230k miles for another one

No one in their 20s wants to live in burbs, especially single dudes. Most dudes have been gentrified out of their parents neighbors. My parents neighborhood went from middle class to upper class in my lifetime, I would have lived there a lot longer had I worked in Houston straight out of college instead of renting.
Besides that I have no idea how people 27 and under can afford a house well inside a major metro without living at home to save up.

A couple of chicks bragged to me that they owned houses when we went on dates and both of their houses were in the ghetto

Humorous, but it proves my point. The average early 20s person does not have the financial capital to buy a home in the suburbs of most cities.

This just means my ever-increasing market value will accelerate.
Got dudes out there not getting jobs, not buying property, living with their parents, voting for Hillary, and fricking real dolls.

I think it was more about the naïveté of chicks my age. They see a needle on the ground and think they have diabetic neighbors

Lazy dudes too busy buying toys and playing video games than buying houses

I like renting . I stay mobile and don't have to maintain the place.

JUST because women are buying more homes does not mean it’s a good decision.
Men are better at math. Men are better at evaluating a situation without emotion. Maybe men view buying a house as a “financial risk” that ties him down and wants to rent and retain more flexible for job mobility?
While women are nesting.

It's probably not the norm, but I know a lot of girls my age who bought houses because they lived at home for a year or two after finishing school. Fewer males are doing that.

The only purpose a single male has to buy a house is because it is an investment property or he’s gay.
Single men aren’t brainwashed by HGTV and Suzie Orman to buy a house.
