If he did not act I'm pretty sure that makes him not so great of a man...

Singer has tragic story and finishes it with suicide. TD thread gets loaded with vicious jokes at her expense.
Must be the OT.

Comedy comes from tragedy.

Yeah, outside of that whole covering up molestation thing he was a wonderful man.
I just haven't ever heard anything about those scandals, as they relate to John Paul II himself, that struck me as particularly compelling. If you told me PJP2 was molesting kids that would be extremely compelling, but that's never the accusation.
It's always "he should have done more" or "he should have known," and these assertions rest on a combination of old letters and accusations from very flawed people... flawed because they were molested, perhaps, but still not the kind of people I just accept accusations from without question.
I'd also suggest that there are more false accusations of male-on-male sexual abuse than people imagine. The whole Jerry Sandusky thing kind of unravels if you look hard enough at it, for example... and not only is Sandusky rotting in prison, Joe Paterno was hounded into an early grave over it- over covering up for something that didn't happen.
Read or listen to some of John Ziegler's stuff if you don't believe me about Penn State. He utterly dismantles every accusation in turn. John Paul II is the Paterno of his own abuse story IMO.

she was living in a motel outside of new jersey for a couple months borderline homeless until someone found her a couple years back
She was randomly hanging around Chicago about 6 or 7 years ago. I used to work with someone that saw her at Buddy Guy's Legends in the South Loop, and she apparently looked like a derelict then.
At one point, it was briefly in the news that she vanished in the suburbs for a couple of days. IIRC she finally showed up at the house of someone from Smashing Pumpkins. Seems like she had a strange, sad life.

While she was in Chicago (2016) she was staying in Wilmette area and had a serious “incident” that was publicized (she went missing). But what wasn’t highly noted was she ended up spending serious time in a medical facility in that area. The incident was much more serious than what was reported or publicized at the time and absolutely related to the mental health issues that has plagued her family.
I know a lot more about that situation but can’t say due to HIPPA involving someone from my past who I don’t want to jeopardize.
She was fighting her mind for a long time that’s for sure.

This chick who was only about 23 at the time rolled onto that stage with her balls in a wheelbarrow and shocked the world.
What have you done lately?
