Never been fired and am still employed by the same company but held different positions over a 40 yr span. I was close to getting hosed tho by a new supervisor at the 6 month mark the first year. Reason, I don't really know. He just mentioned that he came close to letting me go waaaay back then.

52 years old ('63 was obviously a good year) and fired once (when I was 16).

33 here. Never been fired. Got laid off once. Can't really get upset about that

I have been lucky enough to leave two companies shortly before they went out of business. Saw the writing on the wall both times and was proactive.

For covering up for the previous crew because they had been signing off on maintenance that was not done and when the equipment failed I spiked some water samples. When I told the Superintendent he just wanted to transfer me to another rig and I told him hell no I want no part of this company anymore. It was worst year of my life working there. They sent me an email 6 months later wanting to know if I would come back.

Now when something if fricked up I tell it like it is. I will not cover for anyone ever again.

I thought I was going to get fired once so I quit before it happened. It was a part-time job while I was in High School.


I don't actually think I was really going to get fired though, but my 17 year old brain totally thought it was going to happen.

Never fired. I'm a model employee.

I've walked out of a job and I'm sure they "fired me" after that. I got made fun of by my coworkers for taking the job too serious so I just walked right off and put my uniform on the counter.
