Sure. If people want to do that why should the government care?

Will tax breaks and government health insurance be given to all in the polyamorous relationship?

Marriage is supposed to be a religious thing, right?
So, IMO government should not regulate nor need to recognize anything about any marriage.

no, not unless you consider a notary and the family court system to be religious entities

Yes. As long as everyone involved is a consenting adult with sound mind.

If were going to legalize gay marriage then explain the logic behind refusing the legalization of polygamy?

Might as well.

Correct. Ideally the purpose of marriage was meant for proper raising of stable and functional children while having a man take care of woman.

We no longer care how our children are raised, nor does anyone care who raises the children.

No, we do not know what came first, religious marriage or the contractual marriage that affords you benefits and rights for things like property and children.

Religious marriage is separate and has no regulation by the government. The other has certain qualities that should be regulated.

As long as it’s between consenting adults, I have no issue with it.

That said, I imagine it’d cause a huge cluster frick with our current tax system since it benefits married men/women. And divorce/family courts. It’d take a major adjustment to both of those institutions.

The largest issue with polygamy in Utah was the exploitation of 12-15 year olds who were being “married off” to old, pervy men because the Church said so. It was legal statutory rape and child abuse.
