The people were already sick. Vaccines wouldn't have worked. mAb therapy could have helped.
They had months to take the vaccine which would help with hospitalization even more than the infusion

I got an antibody infusion. It helped keep me out of the hospital. Once you get the infusion, however, you cannot get the vaccine for 3 months, and it doesn’t count as one for mandate purposes.

I've already gone to those Louisiana websites. There is just a list of hospitals that provide the mAb therapy.
In Florida you can go to the Alachua County, Fellowship Church or the Bay County Bay County Fairgrounds, etc., etc, to receive the mAb therapy.
You see the difference?
Louisiana: hospitals and bureaucracy.
Florida is providing much easier access.

As long as he's getting the checks, he will keep doing what the Nazis tell him to do.

That has to be close to 70% of Louisiana's population.

Promotion doesn’t seem necessary as it is a treatment provided after infection. However, to the broader point, it appears a very effective treatment from the information I have seen, so if someone is putting up barriers or not providing the greatest opportunities and access the use of the treatment, that’s problematic
Well if people were smart like desantis, they would have been hitting up nursing homes and ltc facilities with this.
Remember, these old peoples vaccines have already worn off.
They are still at a major risk.

Just admit Florida is doing a much better job of promoting mAb therapy and it's helping people. I just want Louisiana to be that good.

Should JBE promote monoclonal antibodies more, like DeSantis and Abbot?
Of course.
And, it's a travesty that the media is afraid to even ask this question.

My 87 year old grandmother received the monoclonal antibody treatment and it kept her from being admitted with COVID.

Louisiana is promoting mAb.
Florida has their highest death numbers of this entire pandemic so holding them up as some kind of shining beacon on a hill probably isn't the best (and I LOVE Desantis and how he has handled everything).
The correct answer, which you will NEVER admit:
Is to use ALL things at our disposal. That includes:
1) Getting as many people vaccinated as possible
2) Getting updated vaccinations if necessary
3) Using all available prophylactics for at risk groups
4) Using all available treatments like mAb for those infected that are at risk of severe cases

I have not heard of any pushback against the mAb infusions and I run among a few anti-vaxx tribes (lol).

The people that want the antibody treatment (for the most part) are :
1. Vaxxed people with breakthrough cases
2. Unvaxxed people that are now sick as shite and too late
