I'm just don't know anymore. I've been working on a finance project for 13 months as a contractor. Contract comes to term after 18 months. My managers I'm working under have been kinda snappy towards me. Several people close to the situation (and seveveral who aren't) have told me that my managers are disappointed I haven't asked for a job after they poured resources/manhours into training me and one had had their feelings hurt. What the hell? If they are interested in me, they should offer right? I don't feel like it's my place at all to come to them about that. I'm at a fricking loss.

What do you have to lose at this point

On Monday I said frick it and walked into a restaurant and asked for a job. Got hired 30 minutes later. Learn from my experience, just go out there and get it.

Some people would rather be contract.

If you aren't one of them let them know. It's not a big deal to be open with people

Just nut up and ask about future plans. It's not like they're going to kill you.

Why don't you ask for the job? The worst they can say is no.

What's the nature of your work?
Some contract jobs are just that. You work a set amount of needed time, then you both part ways amiably when the task is complete.

Go work for someone else. It sounds like you work for either women or children.

Is your employer going to bring back the Mulan-themed dipping sauces?
