tuesday was cinco de mayo...we drove thru downtown hammond about 7pm to go to the grocery store and there were blacks everywhere which is very unusual for hammond...they generally dont loiter downtown but several bars and restaurants were having parties. but occasionally they do, when theres an event, and this is the result
hammond needs to force that fricking hookah bar to close, and stop/frisk/harrass any suspicious loitering downtown, which is a very nice area and the economic engine of the town (along with SLU). this is unacceptable.
by the way, Hammond PD are notorious assholes, quick with the bat and the trigger. if theres any PD in the state that should be able to stop this, its them
