im not sure what you're not grasping. plenty of people with mental issues go undiagnosed and silently suffer. they dont want to deal with the therapy and sessions and stigma and whatnot, so they act normal. you know how many people suffer from depression and put on a happy face to make it through the day until they get home? sure, extreme cases with bipolar disorder and schizos are easy to spot, but many require prolonged observation, not a 1-time trip to the psychiatrist.

I find it somewhat interesting the shooter was “taken alive.” It seems like most of these cowards live in such a dulisional state that when they meet any type of resistance they kill themselves. I think that’s what it’s so important to teach teachers and even other classmates to figure out a way to confront the coward with force

im not saying that id trust John Q Teacher, but I shoot 15k rounds a year in various comps and classes, and military/police are usually among the worst in the classes. youd be shocked if you saw how little they had to shoot to requalify each year. Most are horrible
