Yep. I'd also say that the public school systems end up with these "super high schools"...this one today being 3,000 students.
So you've got 750 students in each grade. People are going to easily fall through the cracks.

Well, I mean the usual way of dealing with a major issue in this country revolves around the easiest legislation that does nothing to address the underlying cause. So everyone starts wanted to ban guns and not tackle the problem of why these kids are doing this.
Then when the kids move to using their cars or bombs, the next worthless and ineffectual piece of legislation will be passed that yet again does nothing to address the problem.
Rinse and repeat.

The answer is because there a frick ton of guns in this country.
I think these people obviously have an underlying mental issue, and the personal feeling shooting someone gives is what they lust

Increasing awareness/screening/treatment across the board would help all of these problems. That's all I was ever saying.

I can't imagine mine doing this either but I communicate consistently and well with him, he see's a counselor regularly and he's in the care of the top child psychiatrist in the state.
My wife and I are both well educated and have the financial means and it was still incredibly difficult to get to that point.

This is the root of the problem.
If the country focused more financial resources and attention to mental health care, the quality of it and its availability would dramatically increase.
