The general public is not even close to being educated on mental illness enough to recognize a lot of the signs though.
even parents with kids that are clearly not normal couldn't fathom their own offspring carrying out a shooting. what do they do? keep sending the kid to therapy? what if it's not financially feasible for them? what if the kid gets a pass and is deemed normal?
cant just blame "mental health," just like you cant simply blame guns

I think the shootings have to do with : loneliness, bullying, outcasts, sexual frustration, social media, and keeping up with joneses . US has more of this then other countries

Single-parent households, longest working hours annually within the western world = a lot of latch key kids that aren't getting any guidance.

I would also add one of the most diverse populations in the world as well, which can def lead to more turmoil and issues
